The principal’s of our firm, Stewart Michel and Tammy White, have over 40 years of combined legal experience and are supported by a staff of competent and experienced conveyancers and para legals, all of whom are eager to assist in any legal matter you might have.
Michel and White Lawyers is a practice that was initially established by Stewart Michel in 1984 in Gunnedah after practicing in Sydney and prior to that as a Clerk of the Local Court and Coroner for the Department of Attorney General of Justice. Stewart’s areas of expertise include criminal law, family law, personal law, personal injury, commercial litigation and conveyancing – domestic, rural and commercial.
Tammy has a degree in Modern Asian Studies which she utilised while working in Papua New Guinea then in the Northern Territory as a journalist. Tammy moved to Walgett in north western NSW where she worked as a journalist before gaining employment as a para legal with the legal firm of Brown, Jepperson and Sliger. During this time she completed her Law Degree whilst also helping to run the family farm. In over eleven years of legal practice Tammy has developed a particular interest in Family Law, Criminal Law, Rural Issues, Conveyancing, Personal Injury, Civil Litigation and issues involving the aged.
