The Principal's of our firm, Stewart Michel and Tammy White, have over 40 years of combined legal experience and are supported by a staff of competent and experienced conveyancers and para legals, all of whom are eager to assist in any legal matter you might have.
THE PARTNERS
STEWART MICHEL
Michel and White Lawyers is a practice that was initially established by Stewart Michel in 1984 in Gunnedah after practicing in Sydney and prior to that as a clerk of the Local Court and Coroner for the Department of Attorney General of Justice.
Stewart has a particular interest in family law property matters, criminal law, insurance and commercial litigation, wills and estates, residential and complex rural conveyancing matters, commercial leases and business sales and purchases.
TAMMY WHITE
Tammy has a degree in Modern Asian Studies which she utilised while worked in Papua New Guinea then in the Northern Territory as a journalist.
Tammy moved to Walgett in North Western NSW where she worked as a journalist before gaining employment as a Para Legal with the legal firm of Browne, Jeppesen & Sligar. During this time she completed her Law Degree whilst also helping to run the family farm.

In over twenty years of legal practice, Tammy has developed a particular interest in Family Law, Criminal Law, Rural Issues, Conveyancing, Civil Litigation and issues involving children's issues.
THE TEAM
MARGARET JOHNSTON
Marg is our senior conveyancer with over eighteen years experience.
She is a local with extensive knowledge of the local area and is able to provide a knowledgeable and efficient service which will take the stress out of your conveyancing matters.
JENNIFER MUDDLE
Jen joined Michel + White Lawyers in September 2019 as a legal secretary and has since become an invaluable member of our team.

She has a varied background in administration, accounts and customer service.

Jen is a Gunnedah local with strong knowledge of and commitment to the local community.
ANGELA GRIFFIN
Angela has fifteen years experience working in legal offices in Gunnedah performing a number of different roles in both admin and as a para legal.
She is our Office Manager, technological expert and is able to assist with a wide range of initial legal enquiries.
TALIE SAWYER
Talie has a lengthy history as a paralegal and is a valued member of our conveyancing team.

She understands that everyone's needs are different when it comes to buying and selling property and aims to make your experience as smooth and uncomplicated as possible.
KHOBI DEVINE
Khobi has been with us since 2017 and has become indispensable. She is our Jill of all trades as she is able to put her hand to anything with a high level of competency.
She has managed to combine work, study and sport, all being accomplished at an impressive level.
